Now for the 98% om the recover Linux screen.if I try to start Windows rather than ATHI2012.I get a new screen saying only Press any key to access to Windows XP via the Acronis Rescue Screen.not a big deal cause only time I need CD is to run Acronis.otherwise hdd is the 1st boot device. Acronis True Image, Disk Director boot media HDD Regenerator 2011 Memtest86+ v5.01. Noticed yesterday when I was in Windows XP.the CD drive would always show up.but.sometimes the contents were there.sometimes they weren't ? Had an extra/none used CD drive in the box so I removed the current CD drive and replaced it with the unused one.(same make/modle.etc)Īnd voila.boot disk load completely.Linux recovery starts.and I can create new tibs and/or validate other tibs created with 2011 on my storage hdd. you need to work on a system that doesn t have an OS installed. I have reset my PC's bios to system defaults.Windows boots fine.Acronis CD opens but will not boot to Acronis option.only boots to Windows option !!?Īny ideas or hints on what NOT to do when creating a ATIH2013 resource CD ? So it isn't a hardware problem or a generic Linux incompatibility problem. The CD starts but I have no way to select the Recovery option as my USB mouse and USB keyboard are non functional. I have tried my internal SATA optical drive, external eSATA optical drives, external USB 3.0 optical drives and external USB 2.0 optical drives.Īll of the above drives work without any problem when used within Windows 7, Mint Linux or from within openSUSE Linux 12.1. I don't know if it's broken or if it is tracking to the hour, and I tried too late on my last day.
